Bronze Buddha Head

 

 

This beautiful bronze Buddha sculpture is available courtesy of Shangri La Antiques.   It is a contemporary reproduction of a Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) sculpture by a Beijing artist .  The bronze depicts Buddha with extended earlobes, referencing his earlier life as a young prince, when he wore heavy earring. He is regarded as the Supreme Buddha of our age, the awakened one.

 

This is a unique and very special piece!

 

Bronze head measures 12.5" tall and sits on a wood black base of 6".  Total height is 18.5" tall by 10" deep.
